The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) was an educational foundation and it was established in the year 1999, in New Delhi, India. It promotes Science, Mathematics, General Knowledge, introductory Computer Education and English language skills among school children in India and many other countries through various Olympiads. The 4 Olympiads including NSO, IMO, IGKO, & IEO were held online for 2020-21 whereas ICO and NCO were canceled.
NSO known as, National Science Olympiad is conducted on two levels in each and every year. It was the first Olympiad conducted by SOF. It has been started since 1999 for class 1 to 12 students participate in this examination. It is conducted in the partnership withtechfest.
International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is conducted on two levels in each and every year. The students who appear in the exam participate fromClass1 to Class12 in the examination.
This is a single-level International General Knowledge Olympiad exam. The student who appears in the exam from class 1 to 10 is eligible to participate. This Olympiad has introduced in the 2017-2018 academic session.
International Mathematics Olympiad (ICO) is a single level exam. Students from Class 11 and Class 12 may participate in the examination. It is conducted in partnership with ICSI. Now a day exam is canceled.
National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) is a single-level exam. It was the second Olympiad conducted by SOF. It has been conducted, since 2000. Students from classes 1 to 12 May participate in the examination. It has been conducted in partnership with TCS ION, a branch of TCS.
AGE REQUIREMENT:Students from Class 1 through 12 can participate.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:School students from Class 1 to 12 can participate.
Students for classes 1 to 12 can participate. There is a different exam paper for every class. The exam paper consists of 35 multiple choice questions to get 40 marks for classes 1 to 5, and 50 multiple choice questions for classes 5 to 12 to get 60 marks, answered in one hour. Five questions that are a part of the ‘Achievers’ section’ carry three marks (and for primary classes excluding 5th, it has only two marks) each whereas the remaining questions carry one each.
Results were announced for every student and it includes the student’s international rank, regional rank (since 2020-21), zonal rank, and school rank. SOF gave performance report for all participating school and awards to teachers and principals

Candidates must fulfill each and every one of the following five criteria to appear in JEE Advanced 2022.
Criteria 1 – Age limit:Candidates should have been born after October 1, 1997. In countries where a minimum stint in the armed forces (or allied) for a certain period is mandatory before/after the class 12th (or equivalent) exam, the candidate will be given a relaxation of the required number of years. In such a case, candidates are required to upload a certificate/testimonial issued by the component authority to this effect at the time of registration.
